Our Organization

7Poets1Name was officially established on July 1st, 2007 and included “7 lead poets” and a network of supporters who joined hands to spread encouragement and inspiration through the art of poetry. 7/1 continues to grow as a network of writers, spoken word artists, business professionals, clergy, and readers extending from New York, Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Washington D.C., Orlando, and the UK. The vision of 7/1 is to broaden the message of motivational poetry and spoken word globally through a network of devoted professionals who share a common passion for written art. Sharing in Christian faith, the product of our collaborations span a variety of genres, while embracing faith-based principles to touch lives, change lives, and enhance lives through the gift of writing.
